What to Expect at Your First Appointment
Your first visit to Wilmington Prosthodontics is about more than evaluating your teeth—it's an opportunity for us to get to know you, understand your goals, and develop a personalized treatment plan that supports your long-term oral health.
During your appointment, Dr. Mcilwain will perform a comprehensive evaluation, review your dental and medical history, discuss your concerns, and explain any recommended treatment options. We encourage you to ask questions throughout your visit so you feel comfortable and confident in every decision.
Insurance & Payment
While Wilmington Prosthodontics is not in-network with dental insurance plans, we believe every patient should be able to make informed decisions about their care. We'll file your insurance claims for you, help you maximize your available out-of-network benefits, and clearly explain your expected costs every step of the way.
Please Bring:
- A valid photo ID
- Your dental insurance card (if applicable)
- Any completed patient forms
- Recent dental records or X-rays (if available)
- A list of current medications
- Any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss
Whether you've been referred by your general dentist or are seeking a prosthodontic consultation on your own, we're committed to making your first visit informative, comfortable, and personalized.
